Two hearts beat as one on this endearing Victorian Cigar Band. The 10k rosy gold ring is engraved with a naive foliate design; the pattern is bordered by raised, polished edges. The high-polished hearts are applied to the top of the band, snuggled up cheek to cheek. In the 19th Century, a "Cigar Band" referred to this popular style of wide, thin, decorated bands. There was much variety in the genre, and this charming example is in a hard-to-find larger size. Circa 1860.
Details.....Currently a size 9.25. The front of the band measures 6.8mm wide, and the back is 5.7mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
